INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
The FSA Summer Internship is a unique, hands-on learning experience designed for students interested in finance, consulting, and making a positive impact in Indian Country. Interns will rotate through multiple business lines including Advisory Group, Investment Group, Prospecta Growth Partners, and Tribal Administrative Services, gaining exposure to real projects, client work, and strategic initiatives.

- Capstone project: Develop an AI User Guide for the firm, focusing on practical applications, best practices, and data safety
- Mini projects within each business line, tailored to your interests
- Weekly check-ins, mid-term feedback, and a final presentation to firm leadership
- Career coaching and networking opportunities with industry professionals
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shadow and support teams in Advisory, Investment, Prospecta, and Tribal Administrative Services
- Assist with client correspondence, data analysis, and report preparation
- Participate in team meetings, client calls, and project work
- Conduct research and contribute to special projects
- Present project findings and recommendations to the team at the end of the internship
- Complete an internship survey and provide feedback for future program improvements
GOALS & LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Gain hands-on experience in finance and business operations, specifically within organizations serving Tribal Nations.
- Develop advanced skills in financial analysis, investment strategies, and advisory services through direct engagement with industry professionals.
- Enhance written, analytical, and verbal communication abilities by participating in project work and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
- Build a strong understanding of economic development and financial prosperity initiatives in Indian Country.
- Foster teamwork, professional integrity, and confidentiality while working collaboratively on group assignments and presentations.
- Develop proficiency in Microsoft Office applications by preparing reports, presentations, and other deliverables essential to the internship experience.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred)
- Junior or Senior level students
- Minimum GPA of 3.4
- Strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills
- Interest in working with Tribal Nations and advancing financial prosperity in Indian Country
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Self-starter, team player, and eager to learn
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional integrity
